Lego Winter Olympics

We all know that the Lego minfigures enjoyed the Summer Olympics 2012

 The minifigures packed the stadium.

 The competitors did their best.

 It was a tense finish,

But in the end there can only be one winner.

We were all very excited when the Lego Store opened in Meadowhall, Sheffield.
There's lots of great displays, quizzes, trails and a monthly free mini build.
There's a huge box of lego and building plates,
great for trying to re-create the Lego olympics.

 Synchronised diving

 Track events

 Long jump

The cold December days have been great for the Lego winter sports,
The kids made ice skates for the Lego minifigures,
and they hit the outdoor ice rink!

 'Ssshhh, don't tell Darth Vader'

 'Blunt skates'

Finishing the morning off with down hill skiiing.

  1. Oh gosh, it looks like you had a lot of fun with these pictures. :-) My kids are too young for legos still, but I look forward to building fun things with them in a couple of years.

  2. Looks like great fun, my boys are just getting into lego, so we will have to give this a try. I really wish we had a lego store but i'm guessing my purse is better of without one!

  3. how adorable! Feel free to share your post by stopping by and linking it up @ Learn and Link Have a Merry Christmas!

  4. What fun to read that there's a Lego store at Meadowhall! I got my master's degree in Early Childhood Studies from Sheffield Hallam University while my daughter competed for Great Britain in ice dance. I was just there from 2006-07, but my daughter lived in Sheffield from 2006-2010.

Cute Lego ideas! I featured your post at the Living Montessori Now Facebook page:

  5. Hi! I found you through the blog hop, and I love me some Lego. In fact, my co-workers and I made a detour after lunch yesterday to go pick up two huge bags of it from Value Village. Now, we just need to find the time to build.

  6. Brilliant! My kids would love this!

  7. You should so look into becoming a Lego Photo Journalist. That was cute!!! We have a Lego Land here in GA but we haven't visited yet. But will hopefully get to it this year!
