The substantial ruins of a Cluniac monastery, with an unusually well-marked ground plan, an almost complete west range and a 15th-century gatehouse.
The kids had a great time exploring the priory, Jemima also took her wild flower book to identify flowers.
Imogen got a book from the library about medieval times, we've read the bit about monastries and castles.
