Family holiday
The annual Robin Hood's bay folk festival.
A baby bird the girls found, it had just left the nest and was learning to fly.
Milking time. The camp site is a working dairy farm.
The boat playground.
Sea life centre
Sea dragons
Panning for gold.
From the campsite there is a path which goes through ancient woodland.
One of the walks we went on to Boggle Hole.
Whitby abbey and visitors centre
RHB rock pools
Fossils found in shale.
Scarborough castle
Some of the species of grasses found at Scarborough castle, it is a SSSI, having over 100 species of grasses.
Driving home through Scarborough, the waves were amazing.
Bempton Cliffs, the sound, sight and smell of the sea birds is incredible.
We had a wonderful week together at Fylingdales, which is at the top of Robin Hood's bay.
We packed so much into our week, starting with the Folk festival, then visiting the sea life cente, whitby abbey, Scarborough castle, Bempton cliffs & Anne Bronte's grave. While also having time to find fossils on the beach and explore rock pools and eat ice-cream covered in chocolate, from the chocolate fountain at Dollies!
