Colours

A while ago, we collected sweet wrappers and a spot of sponteanous learning began!

The children experimented making filters with the sweet wrappers.

And then began layering filters, and of course they act differently to when mixing coloured paints together...
So out came an ancient science kit about light and colour mixing.

Then we finished off with colour mixing paint.
And just think, all this learning came from a few crumpled sweet wrappers!

We also love learning about colours through the beauty of nature.

All these photos are Spring flowers which bloom in Wentworth castle gardens.

  1. That is a great idea. It looks like a fun way to show them the world through a different lens. Please add a link to this post on my new weekly Wednesday linky for arts, crafts and play activities called Artsy Play Wednesday on Capri + 3. You can link as many posts as you would like that are related to arts, crafts and play as all of your posts would be new to new readers. I hope to see you there.
